I was reading earlier this year about the story of Joseph. It’s definitely one of my favorite Bible stories & one I go back to whenever I’m going through a hard time. As I was reading through this story I started highlighting words that were being used over & over again within the different passages & one of the words that came up was the word ‘best.’ Joseph’s family was being brought to Egypt & he was telling them that Pharaoh would give them the best of everything. I thought about all that Joesph had been through & all that his father had been through & that near the end of us his life he was not only going to have all of his family back together but God was allowing him to have the best of everything. When we go through trials in life it’s hard to see the light at the end of the tunnel, but I fully believe that God redeems these trials. God gives us the opportunity to learn things from these hard seasons, but I also believe that he has the absolute best for us at the end of these seasons. God takes us through trials & difficult seasons with the purpose of redeeming us & making us more like Him. I’ve always found comfort in Joseph’s story because it seems as if nothing good could ever come out of his terrible situation, but when you get to the end of the story you see how God redeemed him & his life. There was a greater purpose to be had, but God needed to work on some things first. If you’re going through a difficult season I want to remind you that the best is yet to come. God has a plan for this season & He’s going to redeem you, He’s going to give you the absolute best. It might not come right away, but at the end of this season, you’ll be able to look back & see that it was for your good. God has what’s best for you in mind at all times, I really do believe this, so all the trials & tribulations you go through are to prepare you for the best that God has for you.
I will make the valley of trouble a door of hope
Hosea 2:15
For I know the plans I have for you,” says the Lord. “They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope.
Jeremiah 29:11
Whatever is good and perfect is a gift coming down to us from God our Father, who created all the lights in the heavens.
James 1:17
For I hold you by your right hand— I, the Lord your God. And I say to you, ‘Don’t be afraid. I am here to help you.
Isaiah 41:13
Love,
This is so encouraging! God’s plan is always far greater than ours, even if we can’t see the outcome. Thank you for this sweet message!

This is such a great post. I have read that so many times and never noticed that word. I went back and read, and it gave so much more meaning. Also, I never knew that Hosea verse until now, love it!
Take care,
Jessie
