Life recently has been very busy, stressful & there’s also been quite a lot of change. At times I’ve been very negative about my circumstances, I’ve chosen to dwell on all of the bad things instead of the good things. No one’s life is perfect & I’m sure we all have things we wish were different, but the point is, is this life is precious, but only if we let it. If we spend all our time dwelling on the negatives how will we ever enjoy our life? It’s very easy to become distracted & to focus on the wrong things. We need to make the daily choice to set our eyes on things above. Jesus holds our life in his hands & He is our answer. Don’t ever forget that He’s made you for a specific purpose. He has a plan that far outweighs our greatest dreams, but sometimes that means we walk through difficult seasons. Jesus never promised that this life would be easy, but He promised to never leave your side. Don’t ever take for granted the simple blessings in your life things like your health, your family, the seasons, your car, sunshine, the fact that you have money in your bank account. If you switch your perspective to one of gratitude your view of your life will begin to change & you’ll realize how precious life is & how blessed you truly are. What influenced this blog post was the news last week that two high profile celebrities chose to end their life. I always find myself reflecting after hearing news like this & so I want to encourage you to stop & admire the flowers, buy yourself those show, eat that piece of cake, enjoy your friends & family, & don’t ever forget that God has a plan & that He promises to never leave you alone. Take a few minutes each day & give thanks to God for all He’s given you even the hard things because we know that in the end, everything will work out for the good of those who love Him & it’ll make us better in the end. I hope you find encouragement if you’re going through a rough season to look on the bright side & to never lose focus on the things God has given you & the things He has yet to give you.
I have told you all this so that you may have peace in me. Here on earth you will have many trials and sorrows. But take heart because I have overcome the world.
