Alright so life has been super crazy for me & that craziness has lead me to not being able to write a blog post last week & not even staying on top of my Instagram. I’ll be honest I was really disappointed about not posting last week & also not staying on top of my Instagram. I’ve been working so hard & doing what I feel God is leading me to do, for it all to get messy because I’ve allowed my job & the stress of it to take over. I was ranting to my Mom about how frustrated I am about work & just that I don’t have time for the things I feel that matter to me & I felt the Lord drop this verse into my heart it’s found in Philippians 3:13-14 & it says,
No, dear brothers and sisters, I have not achieved it, but I focus on this one thing: Forgetting the past and looking forward to what lies ahead, I press on to reach the end of the race and receive the heavenly prize for which God, through Christ Jesus, is calling us.
I felt God also leave this thought in my head don’t lose focus. Don’t lose focus on what matters & what I have for you. Don’t lose focus of the promises I’ve given to you, don’t lose focus on what lies ahead, & don’t lose focus of the ultimate prize. It was like okay, got it & it’s what inspired this blog post. I can’t allow the circumstances of this life to knock me off course & keep me from focusing on what matters. So here I am to encourage you don’t lose focus, don’t let people, life, work, or anything stop you from focusing on what God has asked of you, what He has for you, & the ultimate prize which is Him. If it means like me you’re working on something at a quarter to 10 at night you do it because the prize is worth it because it’s Him, it’s what He’s asked of you, it’s what He has for you, & what He wants. You’ll feel so much more fulfilled. I say again don’t allow this life or circumstance to distract you. The enemy loves to take little things in your life to shift your focus off of the One who matters. Keep your eyes fixed on Him & everything else will fall away & you know what your perspective can even change. Ask God to take away the distractions & to help you focus on Him & Him alone because He’s the answer to every situation.
Set your minds on things that are above, not on things that are on earth.
