So I technically should be in bed already, but I’ve been wanting to write about this for months but haven’t found the right words.

I started knitting almost a year ago & there’s something that God’s really been speaking to me through my love of knitting. So yarn seems like a pretty normal thing. It’s not anything special it may come in different colours, textures, & thickness, but no one would go out of their way & say it’s special. Yet, when you put it in the right hands that simple, ordinary yarn can be turned into something unique & beautiful. God does the same with us. Some of us don’t think that we’re special, or that the giftings we’ve been given are just ordinary. In God’s eyes He can use those things for so much more than we could ever imagine. If we put ourselves in God’s hands He can take us & use us to do wonderful things for Him. Every time I knit, I’m reminded of God’s grace & how He can take the simple things in my life, even the negative things & ultimately use it for His glory.

20 In a wealthy home some utensils are made of gold and silver, and some are made of wood and clay. The expensive utensils are used for special occasions, and the cheap ones are for everyday use. 21 If you keep yourself pure, you will be a special utensil for honorable use. Your life will be clean, and you will be ready for the Master to use you for every good work.

2 Timothy 2:20-21

For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago.

Ephesians 2:10
