You Are Worthy

This past week over on Instagram I took part in a project called the Authentic Woman Series hosted by Ashton Long her goal is to help women experience radical confidence, pursue their wildest dreams and change the world. All things I can agree we need & we should do. This project focused on how we as women are all worthy & for each of us to share something that makes us worthy. This whole movement is truly about being yourself & being confident in who you are. We are all worthy, worthy of love, worthy of happiness, worthy of life, not because the world tells us so, not even because I’m saying so, but because God says. God sent His one & only son to die for you & me. Not because we deserve it, or we somehow earned, but because God loves us & because He wants to have a relationship with us, & He wants to use us to be part of his plan. We get so caught up in comparison or trying to be like that successful person over there. We want approval, we want to be accepted, but the fact is we only need God’s approval, we know already that He accepts us & that is enough. Just being a child of God is enough to make you worthy, not to even mention all the great giftings & abilities God has given each & every one of us. We need to stop trying to be like that person on TV, or our favorite Instagrammer, or whatever society says to us, we need to just be. Be who you are there’s so much freedom in being exactly who God made you to be. You don’t have to compete, you don’t have to be someone you’re not because God accepts & loves you & that’s all you need. I’m not saying I’m perfect in this area because I’m not. I struggle sometimes with what people think about me, I’ve walked through seasons of loneliness, I’ve been misunderstood, & I’m sure these things will happen time & time again, but when I think about God & how much He loves me, & how His thoughts are good towards me, & how He knew me before I was even born & knit me together in my mother’s womb (literally knit I looked up the original Hebrew word & it means to be woven together & shaped). I always wonder why I get so consumed with those things. When I think about how God with intention created me I know that I am worthy & that I should be more than confident in who I am. Look I get it not everyone is going to like us, but God likes us & that’s more than enough. God made you with the same attention to detail, so please don’t spend your time comparing, or thinking you’re not good enough because darling, you are MORE than enough.

For you formed my inward parts; you knitted me together in my mother’s womb.

Psalm 139:13

Look at the birds of the air: they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they?

Matthew 6:26

God created man in His own image, in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them.

Genesis 1:26-27
